Are the baggage fees roundtrip?
This is our first time travelling since the airlines started charging for checked baggage. We are flying Airtran airways to Orlando. My question is this: if we pay to check the baggage at our home city when we leave, does that fee include roundtrip or will we have to pay the fees again in the orlando airport when we are on our way home?

Im flying Airtran Airways, in November to Florida. I have to change planes in Atlanta. I flew them back in 2007, so it's been a while. Back then they didn't charge for food and drinks. Do they still offer free food/ drink on the plane? Have you ever been bumped-off an overbooked Airtran flight?

What are some First Time Flyer tips you can give me?
So I'll be going on a trip to Washington DC in December. This will be my first time flying....so naturally, I'm incredibly nervous, especially going by myself during the holidays. Having said all that, what are some tips you can give me? I allready booked my flight with AirTran Airways for December 11th. My questions are.... 1.) What do I do once I get to the airport? 2.) Is a college school ID considered a sate approved ID? 3.) How do I know where to go? 4.) What if I get lost, are there people there that can walk you around? ((seriously, I need a guide)) Haha. 5.) It's a 1-stop flight....so when we stop halfway and get off, what do I do for the time in-between flights? 6.) Do you have to go to baggage claim during the in-between flight, or are your bags automatically transferred? 7.) Are maps of airports available online? And is there anyway I can tell where I'm supposed to go before I get there? Like does it say what gate to go to on my ticket? I'm flying with AirTran Airlines. My first departure is from (LAX)....then to (ATL)...and finally (RIC)

Best and Worst U.S. Carriers?
What do you think is the best U.S. Carrier? Worst? 10 points to best reason why. My opinion: Best: 1)AirTran Airways. Why: AirTran Airways is very useful and comfortable for me. They are low-cost, offer large planes, offer Wi-Fi, and what is very useful for me is they offer non-stop flights to places in Florida such as Fort Myers. 2)Southwest Airlines Why:Southwest Airlines has advertised their "No Bag Fees" campaign multiple times, and it's very useful. Not paying $30 extra for bags can really add up. Low-cost, and offering leather seats, while using only 737 aircraft is very nice indeed. Also, they do not have many delays which is fantastic. Worst U.S. Carrier: U.S. Airways Why: Since I use PIT, anyone can see why to hate US. They dropped from over 300 flights per day to 37 as a result of "de-hubing". The most extreme excursion I made with US was when I was flying to Nassau, Bahamas. I was there 2 hours before the departure time, and The gate check-in person kept talking to my family for LIKE A WHOLE HOUR!!! She checked all the bags, and at the last minute, said my bag did not make it in time and decided TO REROUTE us through Ft. Lauderdale. Our connecting flight would be on BahamasAir. (For those of you who haven't flown on BahamasAir, its like flying on a roller-coaster. You can tell the 737-200 is a retiree of United or similiar.) Thanks a lot, U STINK Airways. No. She would not stop talking. We did not get there late. It was her fault, and she would not get a supervisor. Maybe an hour was exaggerating but at least 30 minutes she was talking.

Is the flight manifest for AirTran Airways flight 297 available online?
Tedd Petruna claims a story that 11 muslim men menaced an airtrans flight. Other passengers claimed that they believe the party was spanish speaking. An examination of the flight manifest may give rise to more reliable witnesses than have come forward on either side or give an idea to who might have been on the flight. Is the manifest available anywhere for public viewing or available online? If so please include the contact information to obtain it, or a link. I'd really like to view it.
