Speed problems!??!?!??????????????
Dealing with finding velocity, time, and distance.
1.) While running the Chicago Marathon, Sarah ran the first 13.1 miles in 1 h 45 min. What was her speed in mi/hr?
2.) A car travels 50 m at a rate of 10 m/s, S. It then travels 200 m at a rate of 20 m/s, N. how long did it take the car to travel the 250 total meters.
3.) On a baseball diamond, the distance from home plate to the pitcher's mound is 18.5 m (66'6"). Carlos Zambrano is (was) capable of throwing a ball at 38.5 m/s (95mi/hr). How much time does it take the thrown ball to reach home plate?

Is it ok to run 5 miles and 10 miles in the same day?
I am training for the Chicago Marathon Oct. 10. I was exhausted yesterday, and skipped my 5 mile scheduled workout. I ran it today on my lunch hour instead. I was scheduled for 10 miles today. I am not feeling tired or sore. Is it ok to proceed with the 10 miles this evening?

Marathon in less than a month?
Ok so here's the question. I am 19 about 195 pounds. I used to run track and cross country in highschool. I havent been running as much as I used to but I signed up for the Chicago marathon on oct 10th thinking I would train more. Work and school began to overwhelm me. I haven't trained much but am capable of running 9-10 miles comfortably at a 8:30 pace. If I were to go at say a 10 minute pace for the marathon and began train from today till could it be possible to just finish?
