Does anyone have a good Illinois apartment LEASE listing agreement?
I've been looking all over the place for a lease listing agreement for Illinois. That is, the agreement that a broker would have a landlord sign before listing an apartment for rent. I'm not looking to manage the apartment...only lease it. In fact the liability that comes along with management is precisely what I'm looking to avoid.

Trying to figure out whats the most we can make for a illinois apartment?
So yesterday we went to look at this apartment and they said for 1 person we have to make 34,000 a yr. there is 4 of us and she said we cant make no more then 47,000 a year but with my husbands over times he makes about 52,000 or so a yr. so we decided it might be best to get a 3bedroom an add another person. So if we had 5 people is there anyway i can figure ut whats the most we can make a yr to get this apartment? Its me my husband and our 2 small kids. My husbands relative needs a place to stay so we thought we could just at that person on. Will this this not work out?

Illinois Apartment Water Bill Laws/Statutes?
If anyone can point me in the right direction that'd be great. I currently live in an apartment where we are billed for water every 3 months. The total occupants in my unit is 2 altogether. My first two water bills while living here were just shy of $9, after which they have been getting increasingly larger. Now the bills are exceeding $50. I am beginning to wonder if my landlord is fabricating actual numbers. I've spoken with a few of my neighbors (most of whom have 2 or 3 kids) and their bills are $20 or less. To top that off, this last bill of mine has a 'Water Reclamation Service fee' which is a first. That hasn't shown up in any of my bills and is a separate charge. None of these bills have a meter read or an account number, and all attempts to speak to my landlord about this issue have been a waste of time. I've heard of a RUBS system where the Apartment building runs on one meter. The Apartment Management then divides the bill amongst all tenants based on Unit occupancy. At any rate. If someone could link me to a resource that would help me make sense of all of this, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Asbestos in Illinois apartment affecting our health? What to do?
We have old asbestos insulation in our apartments basement. It is very damp and moldy down there as well. Our landlord did not inform us of any of this before we moved in. Since we have been here over the past 7 months, I have developed some breathing problems (especially over the last month). It seems to be almost like symptoms of respiratory problems associated with pneumonia. For the last month, I have been coughing (but producing next to nothing if not nothing at all), there is a constant rattle in my chest when breathing, hoarseness, shortness of breath and a lot of chest tightness. My gf has been having a lot of the same symptoms (minus the cough and hoarseness) along with more severe allergies than she usually has. Is this something I should be worried about or am I just being a hypocondriac and wanting something to blame? Vibrations through the house are constant around here and knock the stuff around. Ayone in the building walking around heavily or shutting a door/window shakes the entire place, cars going up and down the street with all bass playing cause the entire building to vibrate....the asbestos insulation is also right around and insulating the heating ducts
