I wanna know how to fix the window curtains?
I have got a new apartment for rent... so i m starting over n decorating my home...i want to know how to put up curtains to my bedroom or dining room windows..i am frightened whether i can put nails for the curtains..as the house is on rent.. if i can.. give me tips as to how to fix the curtains rods and if i need to move again.. how to close up those holes made on the wall..?? p.s I would like to also add that this is a rental place so on top of the windows there is blinds also fitted to the it.. i just need to know how to fix curtains or the rods outside the blinds area...

just got a new apartment for rent?
This is my first time renting an apartment and I'm just curious, when they say 1 year lease, does that mean I actually have to pay for rent for a year? Or if anything comes up(I cant pay my rent for example), then it's my responsibility to find another person to rent it? Just wondering what would happen if I decide to move out or something along those alones happened and it hasn't been a year yet since I moved in.

i have a brand new apartment for rent during 2008 beijing olympic, how can i find the tenant?
my apartment's description. location:about 500m away from the north fifth ring road. To the south, you can see part of the bird nest( main stadium of the Olympic Games) from living room and main bed room. To the east, 5mins' walking to No.5 soubway station To the west, accross road is the National Olympic Forrest Park, you can see the main gate and a beautiful lake from the bed room window. Name of the apartment complex: Ao city, recently built at the end of 2007 and the internal decoration was done in May 2008. Total area:1200square feet, including 2 bed rooms,1 living room,1 kitchen,1 washroom(shower). Brand new home appliance: 3air conditions, 37'sony LCD, 254L refrigerator,cooking utensice, etc. Brand new home furniture:2 closets, 1set workstatworkstation, 2 beds(180*200,150*200),1 dinning table with four chairs, tea table sofa etc. the appartment was never occupied, therefore all the sheets, pillows, blankets, tea cups, etc. are brand new.

I need financial advice in this real estate transaction. What is the best thing to do?
Here's our story and we don't know how to go about doing this. My husband and I own a rather large home in the country. We are on 3+ acres on beautiful property - most acreage in front. Our family is currently living on the main floor because we cannot afford to finish the upstairs level which is about 1200 sq ft. WE have gone 7 years without insulation upstairs and I really hoped we wouldn't go another year doing this. Our electricity is quite high. Here's my idea but I don't know how to go about doing this: I would like to utilize one side upstairs as an apartment (600 sq ft). There's actually a door leading to the outside so it has its own private entrance. How do I go about "finishing" it? We don't have the funds to do this. We have already re-financed so there's no money there. We claimed bankrupcty 5 yrs ago so we have no line of credit or any kind of credit. Are there investors out there who would finance something small like this OR could I advertise a "new apartment" for rent for $350 a month but the catch is that they would have to finish it. Rent for a 1 bedroom goes for about $650. We don't care how long they stay (5 yrs maybe?) because OUR benefit would be not only keeping our electric bill at bay but adding value to our home. What would be your suggestion. I need some advice because I don't want to go another year freezing our family out downstairs. We live in Canada. My husband is an electrician and is very handy (if this helps..). Please, what do we do?? We do have a woodstove that helps heat. Unfortunately the back rooms don't get it so we end up running individual heaters anyway...

Los Angeles Rental Price Depends on how many people?
What is the Los Angeles law on renting a new apartment where the rental price depends on the number prospective tenants. I was looking at a 2bd 2bath apartment in westwood and asked the manager how much the rent price would change if there was a total of 3 people at the signing of the lease (each person per room and one in the living room). The manager said a price change like that situation was illegal and want apartment building I was seeing this in. She commented that it was some kind of discrimination, but did not want to get into the gritty details. Basically she said the law allows a total of 2 people per room and for the apartment I was looking at, it would be a max of 5. I looked at another 2 bed room place down the street and manager said they won't take no more than 3 in the apartment. Now I've seen some other new apartments for rent in the area and they have prices depending on the number of people (heads). So can someone please explain this to me? I searched around and only found laws and situations for adding additional tenants to an already vacant apt. ibu guru: Financially independent thank you. Not everyone has the luxury of parents paying for everything through college. I do agree with you on the roommate conflicts, for I've witnessed a fair share of them in the past. Apartment managers just gotta deal with it, it comes with job if you are constantly interacting with people. Life isn't a walk in the park. I'm still unclear of what the law is about the subject at hand and I'll probably have to read through the law manual. I get varying responses from different apartment managers for apt complexes. No one has said it is illegal to live in the living room, but they're just probably giving us students a break.
