Things To Consider When Moving To A Des Moines Apartment
Moving to a new apartment might be an overwhelming experience. Luckily, there are several steps you can take to counter this dilemma. Planning and organizing before the move will help you keep track of your things and make the move more pleasing and enjoyable.
First of all you need help. Recruit friends or relatives to help you move. They can help pack up everything from your old home. Determine how many people it will take to move the heaviest load to your new apartment, that's the helping hands you need to the entire move. Schedule them two weeks before the move so they can prepare. Keep your volunteers informed about the exact date of the move. Make sure you will reward them appropriately.
If friends and relatives are not available, hire a moving company that is reliable and trustworthy. They will almost do all the work for you. Many Ankeny Iowa apartments and Des Moines Iowa apartment property management will have information on moving companies available in the area.
Secondly, you will also need transportation. Rent a truck that is big enough to carry your whole possessions to your new apartment. Make the transaction a week in advance and also keep them informed of the exact date. In that way you won't be disappointed about the truck not showing up.
Inform your utility, telephone, cable and internet service provider about the transfer of service to the new address two weeks before the move.
Load the heaviest and largest items first, tie them securely to avoid damage on your belongings. Small and light items can be put under the bed or above the couches, the boxes can be nestled into the remaining space in your truck.
Make sure your volunteers wears PPE (Personal Protection Equipment). This simple protective gear such as gloves and safety shoes will protect them from accidents during the move. Tell them to lift with their legs and not with their backs.
After transporting to your new apartment, all high-priced goods such as LCD TV or Hi-Fi System must be quickly moved-in or hidden under a blanket to protect it from thieves.
Check all utilities, test them to see if all are working. Check for gas leaks and inform the service providers that you have moved in your new apartment.
It is imperative to move in your belongings inside your new apartment as quickly as possible, so that you can let your volunteers of the hook and return the truck on time to avoid penalties.
It may take you a week or so to get everything organized, but this is usually not too stressful of an experience.

90's song help! Can't find this music mashup anywhere.?
Okay there was a music mashup that used to be played on the radio all the time in the 90s and, for the life of me, I can't figure out the name of it. This is going to probably be difficult but, I'll try to be as clear as I can.
The song started off with Backstreet boys "Everybody" song
while the instruments were still going there was someone singing "We'll be singing when we're winning" then some cheers in the background (probably from" Everybody")
As the song leads to the Backstreet boys singing, some sports announcer starts counting "1...2...3" then Backstreet boys will start singing "Everybody, rock your body right. Backstreet's back, Alright!"
I think "Rhythm is a dancer" is included, along with a song from Chumbawamba.
Quad City DJ's may have been inside the song as well, I'm not sure.
Unfortunately, as of right now, that's all I can remember. It was a really good song too...
If anyone knows of this song, or any possible 90s music mashup CDs, please tell c:
I think "I'll be walking on the sun" is included in the song
Chumbawamba's song that was featured is called "Tubthumping"

date ideas for the quad cities?
I live near the Quad Cities between IL and IA. There's not much to do around here...and my boy is coming to visit soon. I need inexpensive ideas of what to do for the weekend. Either attractions in my area...or just generic date ideas would be welcomed. Thanks. P.S. please keep in mind that it's March...and kinda cold ;)

Gay bars in Iowa? Are they there?
I relocated from Chicago to Dubuque to have a job (the town and job there was not my first choice but in this economy...).
I live in Dubuque. Its 3 hours from there + battle through a two-lane country road with hills for 70 miles before I hit interstate highway!
What are the gay bars in my area? Any in Dubuque? What about the towns that are closer to me (Madison, WI, Quad City, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids)? I need to get there once in a while, the town is cute but it gives me creeps! Church by church every corner and antiabortion displays in one public space.
I forgot not every church denomination is against gay rights. If you want to list one that supports, I appreciate it but please answer my question.
