How can I get rid of sore arms FAST?? help please!?
I did a charity kayak race thing on sunday(which in retrospect was a bad idea..),and now my arms are very very sore. I have a really important track race tomorrow,but my arms are still killing me which I know will affect my race negatively tomorrow. So how can I get rid of the soreness FAST? Thanks

I don't think Im using tampons right...help?
So, Im going off to a camp this summer, where we're out of civilization for 3 weeks, and I just know I'm going to get my period one of those weeks. But I'm 16 and still haven't used a tampon. I really want to, but I just can't get it in. I don't think it's cause Im scared. It just really hurts, and I don't think Im doing it right. any helpful hints/ suggestions? And NO I am not gonna just use pads. Unless I really can't use a tampon by then... But I really want to be able too. cause we go kayaking and swimming a lot. and we go sleeping in tents and canoeing for 2 out of the 3 weeks. last year, I got my period during those 2 weeks. Sooooo knowing my period, and how it always seems to come right when I don't want it. It comes. Please help?

What exactly are "outdoor-fashion fabrics"?
I'm doing this girl scout Senior patch called "the science of style". On step two, it asks about "outdoor-fashion fabrics". You don't have to be in girl scouts to answer this. it says: Get into outdoor-fashion Fabrics! Go to an outdoor-clothing store or check online for information about outdoor fabrics. Find the best layering materials for hot and cold weather. What are the properties in waterproof and thermal fabrics? How are fibers designed to draw moisture to the surface of garments? Then design the perfect outfit for three outdoor scenarios-maybe a mountain climb through several climate zones, a winter kayak adventure, and a desert hike. I'm NOT asking for answers on how to do the badge, but what the heck do they mean by outdoor-fashion fabrics? I looked online, but the only results I get are about boat covers. I'm really confused about this. Any advice, websites to check out, or answers would really be appreciated. Thank you.

Why can't my dog walk in a life jacket?
So I have a chiuahua/poodle mix she is 6 years old and is perfectly fine wearing clothes (lose or tighter ones)... I recently started kayaking and want to take her so I went and got her a life jacket. It fits her well and is light. Doesnt hit her legs and is not too tight or too lose. When she has it on she act perfectly fine and will wag her tail, will not move her head though and if you call her she will try to come but walks sideways in a circle not toward me at all. And when I told her to sit she fell over sideways trying to sit down. The minute I took it off of her she is perfectly fine. Any clues as why this would happen?

Does anyone know if Gators are hostile towards Kayakers?
My Kayak is really low and a Gator can easily come and bit my arm, I know for a fact there are Gators in my lake and I am pretty scared of them in the water because thats their territory. Btw this is a community lake but the lake is about 30 seconds from the Everglades so it's almost impossible not to go to a lake without alligators. Dave, great answer! I wish I could pick two best answers.
