'Natural disasters are the result of our own behavior, "said Sedigh. "Many women badly dressed (not respecting the Islamic dress, ed)" corrupt the youth, and the increase in illicit sex is increasing the number of earthquakes, "he said. Sexual relations outside marriage are officially banned in Iran. Religious conservatives have regularly denounced the breach of strict Islamic dress code for some of the young Iranian, especially Tehran and in major cities. "We have no choice but to comply with the rules of Islam," Ayatollah Sedigh said, recalling the recent remarks of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned against the risk of earthquake in Tehran .
