if someone breaks a renters (apartment) contract will it reflect on their credit or just renters contract. My friend is wanting to purchase a house and wants to break her contract. should she wait? She knows she wont get her deposit.

What would be the proper way to install a wheelchair ramp for a renters apartment?
My son has a disability and uses the assistance of a power wheelchair. The apartment complex where we reside installed a ramp at the front and back doors of our apartment, but to call them "ramps" would be a joke. My sons wheelchair weighs at least 200 lbs. alone and the materials they used for this ramp are not sufficient. I understand that they have to make "reasonable accommodations", but I mean c'mon, a plywood ramp and a few nails?? They don't even look safe and for now, unfortunately he uses them. I would make the changes myself to make the ramps a little more stable (maybe concrete ramps??) but I am on a very limited income and I don't think that asking them to make these ramps sturdier is asking for too much. I've had this conversation with the apartment's landlord on several occasions, but today when my son went outside it looked like it was about to finally give in. If either of those ramps cracked while he was on them, he could be injured severely. I called them one last time today and they told me that they would repair the ramps if they broke, but the materials that they used were sufficient. Basically to them it's an open shut case. OK, that's great that they'll repair them if they break but what about my son possibly being injured from it?? My question is this, aren't there proper codes they must follow as far as materials used and the correct degree at which the ramp slopes?

Has/will a landlord ever refund a portion of the rent to move in another tenant earlier?
Just a thought. I'm curious - will a landlord ever refund the remainder of the rent in order to move in another tenant earlier (in a month-to-month type situation). Anyone ever known this to happen? Or is this completely against the nature of a landlord, and I'm crazy for asking? :D Keywords: lease, manager, 30 days, month's notice, thirty, renter, apartment, condo, homes, potential @SusieQ. I've given my 30 days notice (On Oct. 12, for the 14th of Nov.), so I'm all set on that front. However, there's another place that I want to move into asap (the place I'm staying in...let's just say I want to leave as fast as possible), so I thought I'd offer the landlord the option of moving someone in sooner, since I could move out as soon as the 5th of Nov. Thanks for your input, btw.

what are and how to access cali state laws on bedbugs in renters apartments?
I have bedbugs in my apartment and one day my leaser/management just barges into my house with an inspector and tells me I need to give her $1500 for a treatment, I find out on internet articles and even in the contract saying that they can come back after just 3 following the treatment, Im thinking what the point on paying $1500 if they can just come back in a few days, also I thought if all apartments have infestation then the management pays for treatment not tenant, how to find california laws on this issue????? please help (thanks for reading) 3 days following the treatment
