Can you combine plant DNA? (also testing?)?
Alright so my bio teacher today showed us a cool trick of extracting dna from strawberries. By getting a salt soap and water solution then adding chilled rubbing alcohal. Anyways when it's completed i should get clear sticky stuff but usually pink cuz of strawberry juice. Soo since that i went home did the same procedure and got dna from tomatoes and rasberries. To get to the point im wondering if the clear stuff (dna) could just be put together and combine or something. But knowing how complex dna is im not sure it will even do anything. Btw my teacher talked about sequencing the dna. I also was wondering if i could dna test with it or something. I dont care what I do with it but it be cool to do something besides freeze/save it. Thanks.
